Punakha tours

A small range, explained honestly.

GetYourGuide’s coverage of Bhutan is thin. There is little for a walk-in day visitor, because everyone needs a visa and SDF first. What you will mostly find are multi-day private tours from Bhutanese operators.

Before booking, check three things on the listing: whether the SDF and visa are included, whether Punakha really has a night in the itinerary, and whether flights are extra (they usually are). Prices shown here are indicative, and listings can differ by date and group size.

We also saw a day trip from Thimphu to Punakha Dzong and the suspension bridge on GetYourGuide, but could not confirm its direct link. Look for it on the Punakha page on GetYourGuide.

Most visitors combine Punakha with Paro and Thimphu on a private tour with a guide and driver. Compare the options on GetYourGuide, then check dates and inclusions.

Tour FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Is the SDF included in the tour price?

It varies. Many listings separate it, so check the inclusions or ask the operator before paying.

Are flights included?

Normally not, but read each listing.

Why are prices so different?

Group size, hotel level, season and whether fees are included all change the price.

Can I add rafting?

Usually yes, by asking the operator after you book or before you confirm.
